Coronavirus Update - 27/3/2020

Due to the worldwide pandemic the Torrens Clinic would like to advise that all patents will be screened at the door prior to possible entry into the buildings.

Please call us if you have any symptoms of a cold so that we may direct you further.

Please note that we are experiencing a large volume of calls and also door screening patients. Please be patient as phone lines have been regularly tied up most days.

The doctors are shifting to phone consults where possible for eligible patients. These are patients over who are

  • 70 years of age and over

  • aboriginal patients over 50 years of age,

  • Chronic health conditions

  • pregnant

  • Parent of a Child Under 12 months old

  • Immunosupressed patients

All other patients that would like a phone consult there will be a fee attached. This will be announced soon.

Due to the volume of Calls and also seeing patients in the surgery, there will be delays to getting back to some phone calls.

We will still be seeing patients face to face. Please be aware that we are not seeing patients in the surgery with any flu like illnesses or colds. For the safety of our staff and patients who visit. People with colds / fevers are advised to call the surgery and a phone consultation will take place. If we believe that you need to be seen than this may include a car park consult with protective equipment.

Further announcements coming soon.

Please continue to follow all the government recommendations

Please note that Dr Katsaneris will bulk bill any worker that has lost their job due to the coronavirus. Other GP's will make announcements soon on this aspect.
