PAYMENT FOR CONSULTATIONS
Please be advised that the schedule fee for Telephone Consults will be charged for non-concession card holders. Face to Face consults also attract a fee payable at the time of consult- the medicare rebate is deposited into your bank account via Medicare on the same day.
You can book online to see our Doctors by clicking the button to the right or by downloading the HotDoc mobile app. This is a secure and simple way to make an appointment and will mean you don't have to wait on hold to speak to reception. HotDoc will automatically send you a reminder message with your appointment details.
Cold/Flu Symptoms
Please phone the clinic and book a phone consultation if you have any cold / flu symptoms as patients with these symptoms cannot have a face to face consult in the clinic in order to help protect other patients . We appreciate your understanding at this time due to the covid-19 pandemic. PLEASE WEAR A MASK INTO YOUR APPOINTMENT IF SEEING ONE OF THE INDEPENDANT CONTRACT DOCTORS- WHO SET THEIR OWN PREFERENCE FOR THIS.
Flu Vaccines 2024
2024 Government Funded Flu vaccinations are available from mid April 2024 for eligible patients. Non - eligible patients can see their Doctor for a script and return for the vaccination.
We are closed on Public Holidays and Weekends, please call our after hours doctor on 137 425.
Our Croydon Clinic at 421 Port Road, Croydon phone 8346 6408 has a carpark which is accessed via Princess Street - next to 12 Princess Street. Please be aware that there are Clearway restrictions on Port Road before10am and after 3pm.
History of The Torrens Clinic
Our mission is to provide the highest standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach towards diagnosis and management of illness.
In the 1960's Dr's Patrick, Smallhorn, Sando and Chadwick had rooms on Port Road Hindmarsh and later on South Road, Croydon.
In 1967 Dr Turnbull joined the clinic with Dr Allen joining later in 1971.
Torrens Clinic is a thriving Medical Clinic which continues to grow.

Telephone Consults- Fees For Telephone Consults
Telephone consults can be booked via HotDoc. Please be advised as From 1st July 2021 a fee is payable for Private Patients for Telephone Consults payable over the phone with your credit card, the rebate will be credited back into your account from Medicare on the same day. Please be aware that there are situations where a Face to Face consult is required to provide the best medical care.

Torrens Clinic has 6 male Doctors and 3 female Doctors who look forward to continuing to provide quality health care for all the community - from birth through to senior years .
Our Clinpath Pathology Collection Centre at 83 Holbrooks Road, Flinders Park is open 8 am to 12 pm Monday to Friday to facilitate your pathology requests from your Doctor.
Our Australian Clinical Labs Pathology Collection Centre at 421 Port Road, Croydon is open 8.30 am to 12.30 pm Monday to Friday.
Both Pathology Collection Sites accept request forms from all Pathology Companies.
We will be using HotDoc to send out Recall notifications, if you receive one you can book online via the HotDoc app or phone us.
The health and well being of our patients remains our highest priority.
